We are delighted to have you visit this page as you explore what it means to be a sender. You may very well be wondering what a “sender” is. And, the answer may just be a surprise!
We sometimes think of church leadership as the main source of “sending” when we see people moving into international ministries. Certainly pastors and elders play an important role, and if you are either of those, we want to work alongside you to mobilize those in your church who have an apostle’s calling.
But there are often great resources among lay people that are essential in the mobilization of new members, and in the longevity of longterm ones. These are the friends, family and fellow worshippers who pray, give, encourage, and participate from this side of the ocean.
If you are an intercessor, a Sunday School teacher, a leader or a lay person, and you begin to recognize that call in someone’s life, this section is for you. And we urge you–don’t underestimate the power of your presence in that person’s journey. What we offer here is our resources (time, experience, education, energy) in order to make your part of the body of Christ successful in mobilizing those called to the nations.
If you are in the category of someone considering going, these resources are essential to your journey. You will want to raise a circle of senders around you before you leave.
